　　抗腐蝕能力強：玻璃鋼桿具有良好的抗腐蝕性、耐疲勞特性；主要由無堿、無捻玻璃纖維與熱固性樹脂預熱固化而成，是電的非導體，在鹽水及含有二氧化碳、硫化氫等環境下實驗，無腐蝕現象。這樣可以減少因腐蝕造成閘機桿斷裂而停止作業的情況，達到減少作業成本和增產創效的目的。
強度高：玻璃鋼桿的抗拉強度為810MPa，達到了D級鋼桿的抗拉強度，短期最大應力可達300MPa，最大載荷可達15t。
